The MAP-FGM project is awarded by the Observatory of University Cooperation for Development (OUCD)

The arduous, reflective and rigorous work of the multidisciplinary team of the European MAP-FGM project has been recognized by the Observatory of University Cooperation for Development (OUCD), an initiative of the Internationalization and Cooperation Committee of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRSU), in coordination with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

The prize received by the Multisectoral Academic Program to prevent and combat Female Genital Mutilation (MAP-FGM) is thanks to its contribution to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

Wassu-UAB Foundation, the Rey Juan Carlos University, the Center for International Studies of the University Institute of Lisbon, the Expert Center on Gender, Diversity and Intersectionality of the Vrije University of Brussels, the Roma Tre University and the Fondazione Angelo Celli, make up the group of institutions involved in the project, which ended its second year of execution.
